How the Estimate Process Works
1. Submit Your Project Information
Describe the service you need, where the property is located, your preferred schedule, and any problems you have noticed.
2. We Review Your Request
JeffCo Home Pros reviews the information to determine which type of contractor may be appropriate for your project.
3. A Contractor Contacts You
One or more independent contractors may contact you to ask questions, discuss the project, or schedule an on-site appointment.
4. Receive Your Estimate
The contractor will evaluate the requested work and provide pricing or an estimate when appropriate. Estimates, project terms, and pricing are determined entirely by the contractor.

Information to Include
Providing detailed information can help the contractor better understand your request. When possible, tell us:
- What needs to be repaired, replaced, installed, or improved
- When the problem started
- The approximate age of the affected system or material
- Whether the problem is getting worse
- Whether previous repairs have been attempted
- The approximate size of the project
- When you would like the work completed
- Whether there are access, parking, safety, or scheduling considerations
- Whether you have photographs, measurements, plans, or inspection reports
An on-site inspection may still be required before a contractor can provide accurate pricing.
What May Be Included in an Estimate?
Depending on the contractor and project, an estimate may address:
- The proposed scope of work
- Labor
- Materials and equipment
- Removal or disposal
- Permit or inspection costs
- Estimated project schedule
- Payment terms
- Warranty information
- Potential additional costs or exclusions
Ask the contractor to explain anything in the estimate that is unclear and request that important promises or project details be included in writing.
Are Estimates Free?
Each independent contractor establishes its own estimate and service-call policies. Some contractors may provide free estimates, while others may charge for travel, inspections, diagnostics, measurements, designs, or detailed project proposals.
Ask the contractor whether any fee applies before scheduling an appointment. JeffCo Home Pros does not determine or guarantee estimate fees.

Before Accepting an Estimate
Before hiring a contractor or authorizing work, consider:
- Verifying required licenses and insurance
- Comparing more than one written estimate
- Reviewing the complete scope of work
- Confirming which materials will be used
- Asking who will obtain permits
- Reviewing the payment schedule
- Understanding warranty terms
- Asking how change orders will be handled
- Obtaining a written contract
- Keeping copies of estimates, agreements, receipts, and communications
Do not rely solely on price when selecting a contractor. Qualifications, communication, insurance, written terms, and project experience may also be important.

Contractors receiving referrals are independent businesses and are not employees or agents of JeffCo Home Pros. All estimates, inspections, pricing, contracts, payments, warranties, scheduling, and project work are handled directly between you and the contractor.
Submitting a request does not guarantee that a contractor will be available, contact you, provide an estimate, accept the project, or perform the requested work.
Communication Authorization
By submitting an estimate request, you authorize JeffCo Home Pros and one or more independent contractors receiving your referral to contact you by telephone, email, or text message regarding your project.
